Default Browns Mills Area

I am moving to the Browns Mills (Country Lakes area) in August and wanted to know if anyone can give me any information on the area, good and bad.

Also, if you could tell me about the lakes as well. Are they safe to fish swim, etc.

I LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING ANY INFORMATION AT ALL.

i have lived here 12 years and in the township for over 30.
it is for the most part a quite community, you can fish and swim if you choose and dont mind cedar water. i choose my pool.
the crime rate is low,not much shopping in town but fairly close to anything you need.
the local school are, nothing special and are classified as abbot districts, more from the military bases affect on the student numbers vs proerty taxes paid by twp residents .
not sure where you are moving from as for relative comparisions for quality of life, culture etc but here you are an hour from philly, atlantic city,1 1/2 to nyc depending on traffic.hope this helps

Default Looking for Jones Family

I have been trying for years to locate a Jones's family..especially Susan Jones. Her father retired out of Ft. Dix in the 60's. I think his name was Donald or had a son named Donald. There were at least 7 children. The youngest would be apx. 40 now. Susan was my USAF roomate. We were stationed at Barksdale AFB and left the military in 1968. I came to Browns Mills and met her family and she drove me home to Thendara New York. in 1968.
I have been trying to find this family for years and years..If anyone knows where I can locate them please let me know. Thanks so much...

You'll definitely have your choice of fishing in the area.

I miss NJ Fishing. One of the last places I remember fishing was a lake in that area that had really clear water. (I don't remember the name of the lake) I threw a Senko that got hit almost immediately when it hit the water. It was a small bass, but using Senkos for the first time, it was a fun experience.

It's a shame I don't have that type of fishing available where I am now. There is fishing, but not like I left behind.

Ironically, Cabela's is about 20 minutes from me now.

I'd be happy to help. Been here 8 years. I'm near Mirror Lake, which is good to swim w/kids; lifeguard avail. The bogs are great for swimming if you know your way around (keep in touch). There are numerous family activities. I love it here. I know County Lake fairly well. Write to me offline at Teawithsu@aol.com
