Yes, I said I was. I went to check it out. I would never mindlessly flock to walmart rushing around like a trashy hillbilly, grabbing every generic crappy item in sight thinking "CHEEEEEP!!! CHEEEEEEPPP!!!!! WHAT A DEAL!!! DEALS GALORE!!!!!"
But most of the others there were, because Walmart mostly attracts that ignorant, trashy element of people.

Is Walmart in all 50 states?
And when exactly did we get one? There are no Walmarts in my area, although I'm pretty sure there is one in Boonton.

I never went to that Walmart because I heard pretty much the same things you said from about five other people before this.
There is another, nicer Walmart on Route 23 N, just off the exit from 287--I believe its 52A or B. I went there once. Bought towels.
I probably won't go again because I hate to shop and buy most things on line.

OMG--whoever posted those photos--thank you for the best laugh of the day! You almost cost me my keyboard as I almost spit out my tea!
I'll have to say I must agree about Walmarts. Hate them--never been to one in NJ. Now, as my credit card statement and Mr. diva will testify, I am a shopper's shopper. The name "diva" refers to my love of fashion, style, and luxury. However, I kinda have a beer budget, so here are my faves I've found so far.
Target actually has some really cute accessories. Since I am now in a colder climate, recently I got some scarves and hats. They have really cute boiled wool berets in hot colors for $13. They'd be $50 at Nordstrom.
TJ Maxx in Gillette has some of the better designer names I've seen in a TJ. I found a Theory wool coat for $130. (400-500 at Nordstrom). They have BCBG Max Azria, Ellie Tahari, and Laundry by Shelli Segal. I found a BCBG silk blouse for $20, seriously would have been $120 retail.
I love Trader Joe's, and I buy all my wine there. Jersey Gardens is kind of trashy, but I'll deal with it for fashion. The BCBG store and the Neiman Marcus and Off 5th are awesome. I can afford to look the way I want--expensive.
I'm on a two-year assignment, and I'm so going to have to find another job in the area, if possible, because I am getting spoiled by all of that. So, given all these great opportunities, why Walmart? Why? Oh, the humanity . . .

I stopped going to Walmart a loooong time ago and ONLY because of the fellow shoppers. Besides the nut-jobs, some walk 3 in a horizontal row down the isles at -10MPH (extended family shoppers who stroll around with their hands behind their backs) while staring at ME b/c they had to break rank and walk single file down the aisle to let me pass, not to mention the dumber than dirt cashiers who could care LESS while snapping their gum and having a conversation with the cashier behind them or two lanes over.
And the creepy greeters? If you're going to have someone be a "meeter and greeter", it's a much better experience from the get-go for shoppers if those people have at least a few teeth in their heads or don't have one eye shooting straight up to the ceiling at all times.
There are two Walmarts in my area, I refuse to go to either one anymore and I don't care how good their deals on certain products are. I'd rather spend 5 hours a week looking for online deals or cutting coupons and shopping elsewhere.
Having said that, my parents have a vacation/retirement home in NC and rave about the Walmart in their town down there. Top of the line (not new), clean and no scary people at the entrance doors. Big difference compared to up here in Jersey (at least where we live and the Walmarts that are in the area).

Walmart is ok for what it is, if i need to buy certain things around for around the house i'll go there cause they have everything under one roof, i don't need to drive to 10 different places, i don't have the time or patience for it. And im not exactly poor so i could give two *****s if something is $1 cheaper somewhere else, in the long run it doesnt mean much unless im spending big money.
Oh and i've been to the walmart on 46 you're talking about, its not wal-mart that attracts the trash there, it has to do with the fact that the TOWN is trash. I used to go to the Ballys next door and my car got keyed once and another time someone actually cut the lock off my locker and stole my clothes, i guess trying to find a wallet i guess. The whole area is shady, not just the walmart

Add my name to the "I hate Walmart" bandwagon. I went to the one in Secaucus 2 weekends ago. WOW it was a horrible experience. Bad traffic, bad parking, people who are too big and slow to pass at the front door. I had to pee because it took me 40 minutes to get there from JC (4 miles away). There were walmart employees storing carts in front of the bathroom doors. There, I saw an employee ram a cart into a middle-aged customer accidentally, but didn't apologize or even look back after she realized she had done it. The entire store seemed to be in a frenzy. I just felt very uncomfortable and anxious. I found the section where the stuff I wanted was on display, looked at the price, looked at the broken model on the floor, and decided to leave. I'd save more money, time and stress by shopping elsewhere.

I've found that the food prices at Walmart are about the same as most of the supermarkets down here- a little higher on some items, a little lower on others. In general, I wouldn't suggest doing your weekly shopping at Walmart, but when you're there for something else, it's certainly convenient to be able to grab a few items (even if they're a few cents more) rather than making a trip to Shoprite.
BTW- Shoprite, at least where I lived in Woodbridge, was the one store that was always insanely crowded, and someplace I really didn't look forward to going to. It'd take 20-30 minutes to wait in the checkout lines most weekends, and that was with all the lanes open.

I like the Super Target better here but only buy what I can't get elsewhere, I shop in a few stores, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, and a store called Harris Teiter, I also go to Publix.
