Power is back on but just curious why it went out (for about an hour) - tried googling and no info . Happened a couple of wks ago too but after 11PM and only lasted a minute or so. Gotta get more batteries and more candles

LOL! At least you had a brief outage. Our power was out for over 24 hours recently, and it was irritating that it only hit "selectively"---some of us had power and some did not. I was one of the "lucky" ones who got to read the Washington Post by candlelight when I got home from work yesterday.

Argh, that must have been a real pain, I can't even imagine 24 hrs. This was bad enough, there's only so much you can do w/o power when it's pitch dark outside, you can't read, obviously can't watch tv or listen to the radio, even the darn phone didnt work - obviously I missed the computer the most - was just curious why it happened on our side of town (didnt happen across town) - went to the JP&L website and couldnt find anything either. I was just glad I wasnt in the middle of a shower, LOL! As much as I like candlelight, it doesnt quite cut it when you have no choice!

Usually if you go to their website they might have an explanation or record of what happened. I submitted an outage to a company that makes uninteruptible power systems a while ago and they sent me a free T shirt for it.

I looked earlier but will look again - just curious regardless of a free t-shirt (which is always good) - thx
