As a long time State employee (I started working for the State long before the Politicians turned State employment into a cash cow) I can tell you 2 things...I am voting for Christie, and I am voting for Christie in the hopes of saving the pension for the rank and file employees.
What I have personally witnessed under the Corzine Administration is that they have taken cronyism to a whole new level, appointing the politically connected to 6 figure positions...somertimes no show jobs. Although there has been a State hiring freeze on for the past 2 years making it impossible to hire a low level clerk that is desperately needed...There never seems to be a problem adding on more and more of the political patronage unclassified positions with high paying Directors and Managers jobs.
Within the past few months Mr. Corzine gave his entire staff huge raises...compliments of the taxpayer. He gave his photographer alone a 12k a year raise.
I'm sure Corzine and the other politically corrupt pigs would like you to believe that the State workforce is the problem...takes the heat off of the real crooks, our "elected" officials.
My favorite scheme is the part time no show jobs that these political hacks always seem to be in line for. Just enough to get credit in the pension system. Miracuously they always manage to get into full time positions in their last 3 years of State service, thus getting full time credit for all their years of service, and their pension is now based on their 3 highest years of salary, boosting the dollar amount they will get.
Christie has said he is going to get rid of 75% of the political patronage positions, that ought to take a nice chunk out of the budget, Plus since all these political hacks are appointed, they have no bumping rights....without their GodFathers it is very simple to get rid of these leaches.
Wake up my fellow NJ taxpayers...we take in more than enough money to run this State, all we need to do is eliminate the skim, corruption and mismanagement of tax dollars.

There's a reason americans with College degrees gave Obama their overwhelming vote.
Chris Christie reminds me of Rush Limbaugh. How can they lead america when they can't even take care of their weight

Your post makes no sense whatsoever; it reeks of elitist condescension, but is devoid of logic and reason. It appears that your argument is, "We're enlightened and educated, therefore we vote liberal" despite the fact that that very action is what has gotten you into the fine mess that your in now. I believe one of the definitions of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. You're exhibit A of this.

Look this sad little person has been pumping the same bilge on every Corzine thread. Unfortunately the Obama gang has been imported to NJ to pollute the discussion. They are trying to lower Christie to the Corzines level rather than tell us all the great things Corzine has done. I think we know why that is.
Please note that the derranged posters are all new to the forum. Wonder why that is?

Think you hit the nail on the head, anyone that votes for Corzine would have to be deranged, nuff said.

Neo-Marxist and Neo Cons is what you have in NJ. and across the country. Vote for Dagget. Vote third and fourth party as much as possible. Goldwater and JFK are rolling in their graves. The country has fallen!

Greetings,
Thank You { ira } for a most welcome "Logical" & "Common Sense" Post !
Some of you good folks should take a little time and re-read the post from {ira} ..... It speaks volumes about the blame game on both sides of the current "Political Circus" in Washingtion D.C.
A bit more of an "Open Minded Attitude" among the folks on this forum would go a long, long way ..... Don't you think ???
Thanks / Lamar
