Montclair State to Theatre District
I've been accepted to Montclair State for graduate school next year. I've got applications in at other schools in the city, but I'm going to need more information before I can make a decision on where to attend. My question is this:
My husband and I need to live somewhere moderately priced ($1200-1300 or lower for a 1 bedroom apartment) and relatively safe that's situated somewhere between Montclair and the Theatre District/Times Square so that neither of us have 1 hour+ commute times (prefer 30-45 min if it's possible). My husband has an interesting job that keeps him out at all hours, so there also needs to be consistent public transportation, even on the weekends. Is there a city that fits these criteria? I don't live in the NYC area and have no idea.
