But we still dont know if he WILL screw up, whereas Corzine has a track record of it. We have a better shot with the unknown than the known failure.

Honestly, I fear both parties and the system in general, but taxes aren't the answer to everything. Corzine's corporate tax hike has chased a lot of good jobs out of NJ, and we have the unemployment numbers to prove it. So not only do we lose the corporate tax that we WERE getting before the hike, but we also lose the income tax from all the employees that worked for the companies that relocated. It's not like these companies had to move to another country. They had 49 other states to choose from.

Nothing will change as far as taxes are concerned. NOTHING!
However, the slow & steady progress of Newark will come to a halt. Mayor Booker's valiant efforts will be for naught. Jersey City's meteoric rise will end. Environmental clean up will get less money.
Suburbanites want their quality education, but don't want to pay for it.
Christie will cut social programs to placate his suburban base but ignore the real money draining issue in NJ.
After all, people love to blame others (those dirty, poor black people in Newark) for the state of things & not have to actually sacrifice anything of their own.
Good job white people with misplaced anger, you have just elected someone who will make you feel better about yourselves.

Yeah, that's what they say. What kind of jobs though? McDonald's jobs? Jobs for H1Bs?

My hopes rest on what level of the support scale he has for corporations(moderate), illegal immigrants(very very conservative), property taxes (conservative), transit(liberal), state worker pension system(moderate), abbott districts(moderate), mandatory affordable housing for wealthier towns(very very conservative), medicaid and healthcare programs(liberal), merging townships and other municipalities(very very progressive).
I can pray.... and stances like this would be balanced for the whole imo...
