It would be hypocritical if they were against
other people accepting the money. But they're not against this.
In some sense, you're making a kind of Categorical imperative argument:
Act only according to that maxim whereby you can at the same time will that it should become a universal law
But the "law" in this case is not that no-one should receive stimulus money, nor is the fact that some are receiving stimulus money the basis of their objection. It is that governments should protect the interests of their tax payers (e.g. Jindal and Palin should act in the interests of
their state tax payers but not tax payers in NJ or NY, the federal govt all US tax payers, but not tax payers in China).
