NJ Unemployment Question (2010, headhunter, job)

I used up my original 26 weeks (6 months) and now am on the 20 week extension which i believe is Tier 1.

I have been looking for full time work but recently a headhunter found my resume and asking if i want a temp job. I believe this would be for a temp job meaning full time hours but would last only so long. (i.e. 1-2 months max).

my question is how is this going to affect ones unemployment if they took this kind of temp job. could they simply reopen their unemployment? or are they screwing themselves over by taking such a position. would appreciate as much in depth info you can provide

This is a tough situation as you could mess yourself up with unemployment. How far along are you on Tier I? I'm not sure about how reopening a claim would be since you are on an extension that's going into 2010. Also consider the extensions could be extended to 2010. I read of instances where people get screwed either working P/T or Temping. You could be making so much on unemployment now, and that is good with all extensions but some people took a cut in unemployment when they re calculate your pay. Be careful.

i am about 1 month (4-5 weeks) into the Tier 1. my guess/hope would be that they would suspend my unemployment and let me continue once my temp job ends. no one should be penalized for actually working.

would be great if anyone could shed light on this if they were in the same situation as i am.

I am on tier 1. This will be over mid Dec. 2009. Will I be eligible for other extensions? I am very confused.
