Hi,
Welcome to US and welcome to NJ.
I was in this kind of dilemma before moving in Oct 2008.
Now we live in a place called Avenel-Woodbridge Garden. It is a good Indian community and close to all Indian stores.
It is a nice place and commuting to Jersey City is good. You need to travel by about 30mts.
You can choose to stay in Edison too.
But never stay in Jersey City. Such a congested and unsafe place.

Incase of any doubt, you can always contact me.
I will give you pointers.

Good Luck.

venkat

we have not worked a budget yet... but i guess we would be looking for anything under 1500(lesser, the better). since its just the two of us, 1 bedroom apt should be enough.
is this Avenel-Woodbridge Garden safe?? having stayed in singapore, we never had to consider the safety aspect. so quite apprehensive. thanks venkat for the help.
