Default Which are good Elementary schools in Edison, Iselin, Woodridge area

We are moving from out of state to NJ shortly and my work is in NYC. Looks like Edison area (Edison, Iselin, Woodridge) is where I may end up focusing as
-the commute is 45 mins to an hour,
-can afford a 3 bedroom apartment rental ($1600 to $1700) and
-I've heard of good school systems.

Any suggestions regarding:
a) which elementary school is a good one in Edison area (Edison, Iselin, Woodridge). It'll help me further narrow down on selecting apartment rentals.
b) Good apartment suggestions. My Kid will be in kindergarten next year.
c) Anything else you would like to share good/bad about the Edison, Iselin, Woodridge

Thanks in advance.

I also lived in Iselin for awhile but schools where not so great as time went by .My first son who is ten years younger than my other son and went to schools over there but then the area started going downhill so then we moved to Edison .Metuchen has good schools but very high taxes , but does have great downtown area on Main st.good luck on your move there are some great apartments in each area just be very carefull you check the areas out at all times of the day because some areas look good but are not so great to live in . check them out . Was raised in nj and it has changed alot just like all places do .time changes all

Edison is far away for your commute to NYC. It will take you more than an hour without traffic
