Default Paramus - Best town in Bergen County & Northern NJ!

Paramus in Bergen County has the best location in Northern New Jersey.
It's a large town close to New York City (10 - 20 min without traffic), excellent public/private school/colleges, FOUR SHOPPING MALLS & PLAZA, plenty of housing/apartments, passes thru mayor highways, low property taxes, plenty of parks/outdoor activities, plenty of enterteiment etc.

What else could you expect in such a great town?

Plus all the retail closes every Sunday and gives them all a break! My aunt and uncle live there and when we used to go for holidays or on Sundays to visit we saw how very peaceful and calm and quiet it is when everything is closed down. Yeh it's a good town!

That would be between 2 and 4AM, at other times it may take a tad bit longer

It's hours away from the beach and there's no waterfront property outside of which I can dock my boat. Paramus = fail.

Property taxes are low for Bergen County but due to the shopping malls crime is high (shoplifting auto theft and auto break ins)

South Jersey.................... It's okay. Don't feel ignored. We love you too!!!!!!!

Property crime is high for BERGEN CO (low to begin with) in the Malls (which are located on highways. The same could be said for any Mall, anywhere), not the town itself. This would be known as an anomaly. Say it again kids! Anomaly. VERY GOOD! Please stop perpetuating falsehoods. It does no one in New Jersey any good.
If you think Paramus is crime infested, it might be time to move to Montana.

Either way........... I would choose Montclair. Great town.

It has some good points for sure, but I don't think all those malls are one of them. Although I guess it is good for property taxes.

I've heard that in spite of its six-day shopping week, Paramus consistently has the most retail sales of any ZIP Code in the United States.

But Paramus has the highest crime rate than any other city in Bergen County (Yes, including Hackensack) but this is because of all the people coming from all over to shop. A lot of issues start to accumulate around the malls. It's still a great town beyond all of its shopping wonders.
