From Madison to Warren is about 18 miles, however, there is huge mountain in between, so the highway detours, it may take about 30 to 40 minutes one way ... You may be lucky since there is traffic from east bound Rt 24, whereas when you turn to west bound Fwy 78 it became reverse traffic, most cars take Fwy 78 East bound from PA, West NJ all the way to NYC ...
From Madison to New Brunswick is about 34 miles, but mostly Fwy 287 South bound, the traffic is fine in most sections especially some sections widen recently, so it may take about 45 to 55 minutes.
