I'm hoping to move to the Mcguire area within the next few months. I could use some tips on safe and friendly locations. I'm looking to rent and my price range is around a grand. I'm curious to know if it'll be more cost effective to live on the PA side and just commute. I currently reside in the LA area so traffic really doesn't scare me. I also would like to learn about the lifestyle out there. I'm a free spirit and love to see the sights, I'm excited to have the opertunity to travel to the many historical areas of this great country. Any and all tips would be greatly appreciated.

I worked and lived on McGuire, don't live in PA, it is a Far commute, only reservists live there. If u want to be near Phila and all that, I knew an airman who lived in edgewater park which is halfway between work and philly. PA is about the same price if u are renting so u might as well live closer in NJ.

McGuire is relatively secluded, to the north and east there are pine forrest with very little population and to the south and west is where everyone commutes from, Pemberton being the military town because its so close. For 1k u have some selection, south hampton is quiet and suites the state slogan as the garden state. If I were in ur shoes I'd probably look within the limits of Lumberton and Mt Holly because its conveneint, safe, closer to work, close to many people who work in McGuire. On a map Mcguire might look close to PA or all these other places, but driving there is a different story.. there are only 2 real entrances into McGuire... 1 from Browns Mills (which is a part of pemberton, u have to drive all around to reach it from anywhere else) and the other one (saylor's pond road)which is also slow.
