It 's a nightmare for commuters.I can't say anything about Warren, because I really am not driving through that area during rush hour. I have no idea how those people deal with a long commute.

WRONG! That's been clogged for at LEAST the past 18 yrs (when I moved out here). Anyway, that's one road in a large region. Besides, ever hear of 42/55 merge?

Right you are Tahiti. That road has been clogged forever, going back to the late 1970s, as far back as I can remember, as well. That also goes for Rt 206, through Newton and Andover. There are just too many people in New Jersey, for the antiquated road system. And I don't think anything in that regard is going to change. People don't want change. They'd rather deal with the situation at hand, otherwise Rt 15 and 206 would have been widened some time ago.

206 needs to be widened from top to bottom. That is a road not a highway, and it's a total nightmare in most parts. We have no north to south highway in NJ, which we desperately need. Everything runs from Philly to NYC.

206 is probably the highway that best personifies NJ, in my opinion, rather than the usual Turnpike or Garden State Parkway responses. It starts in Hammonton, and concludes (I think) right over the border in Milford PA. During its run, it goes through some of the most diverse areas of the state, from rural to urban, suburban and back to rural again. If one wants to get a real flavor of the state of NJ through driving, this would be the one road I'd recommend an out-of-stater driving on, if you want a good cross-section of both North and South Jersey. If you wanted to gauge the true difference, if there really is one, Rt 206 is the road I'd recommend to make that determination.

Ten years ago if you compared Route 15 to Route 17 in Bergen County, then Route 15 was a Sunday drive.

That's true! Although just the thought of making that drive from Hammonton all the way to Milford on 206 the whole way makes me carsick. Google says it would take 3 hours to drive the 120 miles, that seems quick to me.
