Little Ferry has always been viewed as a shabby town since Route 46 runs through the town showing all of Little Ferry's shabby business. (Car dealerships (used), motels, fast food restaurants, bars etc)
Other than that I always though Little Ferry was a decent town in terms of safety and location. It has nice clean working class neighborhoods, and the schools (Little Ferry uses Ridgefield Park's high school) are also fairly decent, though not the best around.
Little Ferry is ok. It is mostly lower middle class. It is located close to Routes 46, 80, 17 and 3 which makes it easy to get around to almost anywhere. The grade school is ok and the HS is Ridgefield Park HS which is not bad. The homes are affordable and the Taxes are on the lower side for bergen county.
Yup I agree with the above posters...there's a strip club or two right off 46 along with many used car dealerships...but I never here of any crime problems or anything coming out of Little Ferry.
If you go South of US-46 its really nice and decent.
