In 1995, the New Jersey State Legislature officially renamed the span over Newark Bay the Vincent R. Casciano Bridge. As a member of the State Assembly representing Bayonne, Casciano petitioned state officials and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for the Newark Bay Extension in the early 1950's.

ha - i lived in that area too at one time, and then for a spell was at 202,206,287,22,78. any road not one of those is ok with me!
renamed in 95 - that explains why I never knew it by that name. I was out of Bayonne by that time.
I still can not drive that bridge today with out the WTC coming to mind because it's no longer there..but on a happier note you no longer have to look at the gritty Curries Woods projects
I have driven E-Town roadcourse many times as an instructor. It is just barely OK as far as roadcourses go. It only has the base coat down and is rough in many places. Problem is E-town is a drag race facility first and everyting has to take a back seat to drag racing. Chris Winter who runs the road course school has had to cancel events because E-town managment needed the road course area for overflow parking for other more profitable events. I worked there the first year but dropped out last year because of track mismanagment of the road course.
I think I have given you too much info.
Another nice one of Rt 10 in Livingston going west. When you get to the top of hill around near the intersection of Hillside Ave you can see the whole NW Jersey plains if it's a clear day. It's absolutely gorgeous.
