We're all sitting here enjoying our Internet and great conversation. Hopefully everyone on here has done something in the way of contributing money, even if its $10, to the relief efforts in Haiti. Do it, they need it.

Yes, to several different organizations who already have aid in place. I can recommend Partners in Health who specialize in health care for the very poor and have been active in Haiti for 25 years.

We sent to Drs w/o Borders and will give to Catholic Relief Services as soon as we can afford it. Both are groups with strong presences in Haiti already. CRS has over 300 staff there and Drs w/o Borders has or had 3 hospitals (all three destroyed--they are now operating from tents --and CRS has lost many of their local workers). So dreadful! Give... and pray!

Not a fan of the huge non profits. We picked the Caribbean Medical Mission based out of NJ.

As I understand it this is a group of doctors and nurses who pay their own way to these countries to help the poor/sick and they have a trip scheduled to Haiti in February.
