Good topic! Today while riding over the parkway, I looked down and saw traffic already backed up at 2:30 this afternoon. So glad I wasn't in it.

Darn New Yorkers.

Bennie's have arrived. Memorial Day Weekend for locals is almost always spent at home.

I guess if nothing else at least they had good weather this year, and I keep telling myself, Labor Day will be here soon enough and we can enjoy our own stuff.

It's funny just after I posted that I started listening to a Pheonix Radio station. The host is Jersey's own, Roberta Gale. And one thing she mentioned was how thrilled she was its Memorial Day because all of their tourists (and snowbirds) are officially gone.

So at least we have our winters? I'd rather have the cooler time of year. It's more enjoyable.

If it's any consolation, were spending all of our vacation dollars elsewhere this year.
