Default Ballpark Cost for Living Room Renovations?

Any ideas about the estimated cost for the following? Install a wood burning fireplace with custom bookshelves on either side, on the 12' wall of a 12 x 24 living room. Also, open up the 24' wall to connect with den.

i would think you have to mention what floor this is on, and how many levels are above this floor so the chimeney can be run either through the roof or if that is not possible alongside the outside of the house.

Also is that 24' wall a load bearing wall?

The 24' wall is a load bearin6 wall. The living room is on the main floor of a colonial. The chimney will probably have to run alongside the exterior of the house.
