here's the deal. i work in bala cynwyd, pa. my girlfriend works in media, pa. im getting tired of delaware county and would like to move to south jersey. right now rent is 900 a month in east lansdowne. and to me its not worth it. i dont mind paying 900-1100 per month. but i dont wanna have to quit my job. what townhouses in the south jersey area should i be looking at? salary is around 65 to 70k combined.

Why would you want to move over to SJ if both your job are over in PA? Do you want to add commuting cost and time?

Is there a particular reason you want to live in SJ rather than the PA burbs? I mean the commute wouldn't be too fun for either of you.

I agree on the commute issue, as for town homes, I'm not sure really.

you will not find a townhome in south jersey for 900 a month rent. one bedroom apartments in decent areas are $900 a month. nor will you find a townhouse to buy where your mortgage will be 900 as taxes are extremly high in nj. that said you can find nice townhouses in mt laurel, cherry hill, voorhees and marlton.

Agree with everyone else in that moving to SJ probably wouldn't be worth it since you both work in PA (and not actually in Philly), plus it probably wouldn't be much cheaper if at all.
Seems like you guys are already living pretty much right in the middle of your jobs. If you just want a change...maybe Manayunk or something?
