If they left a place like Seattle for Newark, the reasons are probably more than meets the eye. Newark has things to offer that the northwest does not in terms of cultural identification. That would be the case now or 25 years ago. Newark will never be Seattle or Portland and that is the way it should be.

That explains a lot.
It's just a "Jersey thing"?
Any ten year old in Newark would laugh at that statement. They know better. If you actually were from there, you would know better. Of course its been ignored just like all the other Newarks around the U.S. are ignored.
There are different ways of learning? No blueprint? A slight makes you reflect? Reality check please.
People are not listening to anything you are saying. Why would they? You are insulting people from Newark. You just can't grasp it as usual.
The funny thing is - I really think you believe you are opening people's eyes. Unfortunately, you are doing nothing of the kind.
You will always defend? Nobody has the right to denegrate? You state these things and then pretend you don't have a "cause" and ask "what's that"?
Addressing people in the manner you do obviously shuts them down before anything you say is actually heard.
You are trying to defend something you truly don't understand. You are going about it in a way that is many steps backward and making a joke out of the lives of countless Americans.
When will the lightbulb go on?

You claim that Newark is national but you don't explain how. Why? because it's not a national issue. Find me a 10 year old anywhere outside of north Jersey that knows anything about Newark. Truth
I'm full of diverse and unconventional thoughts and ideas. Again, everybody doesn't have to think like you. I most certainly don't. I'm not looking for support, I'm making sure that the truth be known. This thread is overrun with lies and liars. Many seem to specialize in disinformation.
I'm cluesless? There are DEFINITELY different ways of learning. Maybe you should explore some, but this explains a lot. America's(as well as Newark's) school systems are struggling because so many teachers believe this crap. This isn't 1950.
Question..Why respond to one of the only people to defend(and speak the truth in regards to Newark). It's cool when so many make incorrect, BS statements that have no validity.
Making a joke out of the lives of countless Americans, LOL!!!? Much of what has been said (including your posts) are a joke. You see how it feels when the shoe is on the other foot. I made a general remark about Jersey, not any specific town or city(because I live and work in and understand Newark) and you get salty(talking about countless lives..LOL) but countless people do the same to Newark and nothing.
Your entire post is filled with "stuff" but no explanations:
I'm insulting Newarkers? How
One way of learning? What!
"Cause"- you still haven't explained that one
Making a joke? Out of what
Addressing people negatively? Are you serious? 90% of the post here are an insult to Newarkers and are negative in regards to Newark.
Lightbulb? You must be working with 6 watt or something.
People aren't listening? Ahh, you are..LOL!!!(If you haven't noticed this is a "pile on" thread. People generally don't respond to truths, they expand and expound upon the non-sense).
I apologize for making sense. I understand that this isn't the forum for that. I guess I need to just bash Newark like everybody else so folks can just be happy. In fact, I really suck and so does Newark!!! Yeah, I'm cool!!

I cant believe some people are still going on with this worthless thread. That guy that wrote about the BMW is really amusing, so he drives a BMW and lives in Newark LOL..if ignorance was money, some people here would be billionaires. CONCLUSION: If you are ok with ghetto, murder, scumbags, dirty streets, chaos, then Newark is not that bad of a place. For people that have higher standards and are "weak" like one of these geniuses here stated (stupid "weak" people that enjoy safety, good neighborhoods and good schools for their children), then Newark is not the place for you. Also, the fact that most people that defend Newark can barely spell should tell you something about the quality of the education Newark provides.

Hello genius! Have you ever heard of relocation? That is when people move from a state to another. My parents still live in Scotch Plains and I just came back from NJ this last Sunday. Newark continues to be the same dump.

in his book unless you live like him your views have no value, I've lived in NJ since the late '60s but that's doesn't give me credibility in his book, and he whines about intolerant people, ha

You are putting the word "truth" after your statements now. LOL You don't speak anything close to that.
Any random 10 year old from Newark has more knowledge than you do.
You mention concern about the work of disinformation agents but you are responsible for bringing most of them out of the woodwork by bringing back old dead garbage threads like this. Your goal is to make sure the truth is known? It must be nice to have a goal in life.
Unfortunately you seem to think you are on a mission to enlighten everyone but you are doing just the opposite. You are trying to enlighten on something you have no understanding of. How is that possible?
You are actually asking someone else to explain what your purpose is on here? Please. You seem to think you have a cause. God only knows what that is.
Any of the regular posters here avoid these threads like the plague. They know they are troll and a waste of time. They are full of inaccurate info and idiotic comments. People may be unfamiliar with Newark but they are not idiots. Newark may have had a spike in population over the last decade but much of that is due to the high cost of living in the surrounding areas. People with choices moving there is a very different thing than people with limited options flocking there. Everyone here seems to understand that except for you for some reason. LOL.
If you start threads with things like "Newark is the only place I can afford" you would not expect people to repsond with encouragement. If someone with options wants to move there and could choose any scenario they please-well that is an entirely different circumstance. But most people with common sense are aware that that is the exception and not the rule. If you start threads with things like "I am a crazykid with no money" or "I am a poor blonde women with 2 kids" of course people will try to steer them elsewhere.
Do you actually think the low income residents and families who make up the majority of the "new" residents over the last decade are enjoying benefits of renewal? That ten year old would know better. But you? You are at a loss for some reason.
You should be over the moon that anyone has bothered to respond to any of these threads over the past year. Junk threads or whatever you want to call them. It's not like we don't know a fake poster when we see one. Most of the people who bother to respond are not going to respond with anything genuine. Of course they're not. If you had anything valid or revelatory to say you would at least have the possiblity of a few genuine responses. That is obviously not of any interest to you. Trash threads are not going to teach people anything. Most regulars on here skip right over these so called "Newark" threads now.
Your "truths" are nothing but nonsense and that's why these are pile-on threads as you say. That is the only "truth" of any of your posts here so far. Pile-on indeed. At least that comment was enlightening. A first.

This is a NEWARK thread, not scotch plains or wherever you're from. I've lived in America since the 70's so I guess I have the right to talk about every city within?
