Default Apartment 4 sale in Metropark

Does anyone know of newly constructed apartments 4 sale (1/2 Bedrm) in the metropark train station area? How do i go about searching it online....i hve googled it so many times but fail to find the management companies selling properties in that area. I would prefer a area preferrable walking distance to train station.

Thanks,
Yogi

Apartments aren't typically "for sale" in NJ- they're rented. There are a few co-ops around, but they're rare.

Most of the apartment (and condo) stock near Metropark was built a while ago. The newest complex I can think of is on Green Street a block or two from Worth. It's a small complex of maybe 20 units, and has been there less than 5 years if I recall correctly. It's about 1 1/2 to 2 miles from Metropark, though.

BTW- your other post said you've got $450k to spend- why would you want to spend that on an apartment??? You could buy a nice single-family house near Metropark for much less than that.

PM if you'd like info on one nearby.

Bob

My neighbor Kelli just bought a 4br house at Edison, her 2br 2ba condo at Edison Hollow South (1732 Raspberry Ct, Edison NJ 08817) is now under renovation and will be for sale soon, you can give her a call directly 917 622-7819 (cell).

It is about 5 minute walk to Edison Train Station which is two station South to Metropark, the middle one is Metuchen Train Station.

Although this 2br 2ba condo of 1260 sq ft will cost much lower than $450,000 (e.g. 1424 Raspberry Ct Edison NJ just sold $274,900 and you may save commission buy direct from seller) and is not new, but if you talk to Ram at #1730 who spent $250k+ bought his unit and renovated it; it is no less new and morden than any model unit of a new construction.

I have to vote for Metuchen if you're really looking for something close to Metropark. Metuchen is one train stop away -- maybe 4 miles, if you were driving -- from Metropark; it also has a little downtown area around the train station with good restaurants (Thai, Italian, sushi, trying-to-be-a-French-cafe) and coffee shops that *aren't* Starbucks. Even a theatre (not movie theater, live people on stage).
