Clark has a bookstore (which i LOVE!), a shoprite, a golf course, and some fast food joints. Cranford has a downtown, a river with canoeing, and a generally more "small-towny" feeling. they decided to prevent large grocery chains, department stores, and fast food joints from coming into cranford. obviously, it hurts the town revenue, but it does make the town feel a lot more laid back and relaxed. I'd pick Cranford (and in fact i've lived here for 20+ years now), but make sure you tour each town.
Isn't there a major law suit going on between the residents of Cranford, the municipalty and an insurance company regarding raw sewage? I remember reading that somewhere...
Regarding Clark, I'll never understand why a Cape on a 0.11 lot with window AC in a town with no train station and no downtown costs $430K in this market... Oh, and then there's the property taxes...
If you like Woodbridg township, have you considered Colonia?
