Default Caldwell question

I am in the process of transferring to Caldwell for work. I am wondering about the area as far as safety, entertainment, accesibility to public transporation, etc.

I grew up next to Caldwell. It's a first class town, if you can afford it. You have access (or at least when I was growing up) to the '33' bus line for NJ Transit. I heavily recommend Caldwell.

29bus does the entire length of Bloomfield ave- from Newark to West Caldwell. Nice town- - safe, lots of shopping along "the ave" nice resturants and pubs. Grover Cleveland park is pretty big, with tennis courts, a stream that dumps into a little fishing spot. Great for the kids. Lots of pizzerias, and the cloverleaf tavern has about 50 different brews on tap.
Also if your into beer, the selection at Shop-rite Liq- cant be beat. Housing is fair. Rent isnt cheap , but its fair
Close to major hwys because Passaic ave at the bottom of the hill- takes you to 287 one way- and to 80& 46 the other way.
I guess you can tell Im from the area

You mean Rt 280, right?
You could also take Roseland Ave from Bloomfield Ave, right next to Caldwell Library. That takes you to Eagle Rock & then Rt 280.
