I got a ticket for doing 95 in a 65 the other day. I've already used my no point "passes" twice within 5 years, so it most likely will not be available to me again.. I've contacted an attorney and he's telling me that at 30mph over it is pretty likely that my license will be suspended. Is this true? Or is he trying to pressure me into hiring him? I currently have no points on my license.

The cop told me that court appearance is not required, and it is not checked on the ticket.

There is no way you will lose your license. Definitely go to court and the most likely scenario is that they will reduce you 95 mph ticket to an 80 mph ticket.

Good luck.

You won't lose your license as long as you have no points as said.

Do what JohnFrisco said... do go to court and try to get it lower the speed on the ticket. The lower the less points.

1-14 over the limit its 2 points
15-29 its four points
30+ its five points <------you as of now

Good luck and do slow down.

i still wonder who decided we humans need hall monitors out on the highways regulating our speed.
I would either get it knocked down to the lowest speed range or if you have any "good ole boy" cards up your sleeve, they can still give you a real no-pointer such as you couldn't find your paperwork or obstructing traffic.no points, BUT they need a good reason to give you that.
