Pet shelter taking unwanted cats (Jersey City, Hoboken: deal, county, place)

Does anyone know of a shelter near or in Hudson county that takes unwanted or surrendered cats?

Then, if you're in Hoboken you could try this group. Companion Animal Placement It's not really a shelter but volunteers put cats up for adoption at the Hoboken Animal Hospital. If the info in that link doesn't work, call the animal hospital and ask for Robin. But don't bother to call if you're outside Hoboken. There are plenty of stray cats there to deal with!

Thanks Nina, I tried calling LHS but they dont take cats outside JC but haven't tried CAPS. I have visited them before as they also groom my cat and it doesn't appear they have room for more cats at the time... but I guess it doesn't hurt to try anyway.
