Keep your lights on, any lights on during RAIN, SNOW, FOG and LOW VISIBILITY!

Understand that driver in front and behind of you might not see you from far or close, and accident rates are increasing! It's for your and other drivers safety!
It's not that hard, when Wipers are on, keep your lights on!
Around 30% of cars do not keep their lights on when it rains, which is extremely hard to see, especially on the highway!

As you said it is indeed a law in NJ ..I always do have lites/wipers on when raining..its automatic for me like seatbelts..but I also see the police drive right by others without lites on in the rain ( if raining guess wipers need to be on too)...even the police don't know the laws or to lazy to give a ticket out..thinking they have to spend a day in court if plea not guilty.
Same as cell phone use while driving..very rare here they give a ticket out for it. Suprise they came up with another law..red decals for teens.

Down here (NC) it's the law. One of the few, should I say very few, things the south does right that most northern states don't do. Probably shouldn't be law, just a comonsense move.

Always.....my new Jeep I bought last week I can set to where when the wipers come on so do the lights

Which is how it should be... I have no problem with safety things like this being imposed on the manufacturer.

The problem I have is my headlights turn on automatically... I haven't had to turn headlights on in years... however many times when it's raining during the day, it's still light enough out to not activate the headlights. Back when I manually turned headlights on at night, it was automatic to do so when it rained. Now that I never think of turning them on as I don't have to, I regularly forget to turn them on when it rains.

ahhhhhhh but if they are Daytime Running Lights you can still get a ticket as Daytime Running lights do not activate your tail lights which are just as important to have on during rain, fog, snow

or do you have lights, both head & rear that automatically turn on when it becomes dark

When you're at it - turn your fog lights off when they are not needed.

I think some in this poll are lieing because sometimes I see half the cars with no lights on when it's raining.

I sure hope so Yes, I believe my full head lights, not running lights, my tail lights, and my dashboard all turn on based on a light sensor.
