Has anyone been to this? I know its larger in size the DC's. I know its in a good area of Newark so i'm not worried about Crime. I just want to know how was it? I was also advised to park in the Ironbound and take the Light Rail up.

I never been to Branch Brook during the festival but U can park at Bloomfield Ave and 3rd St right in the park. and there are a few other places. It extends all the way into Belleville. I'm not sure if this festival is all of the park or if its concentrated at a specific area.

I've been to all 3 - Washington DC, Brooklyn Botanical and the Newark festival.

At Newark, it's concentrated though the cherry blossoms are all over. It's a relaxing little event. Nothing like the one at Washington DC. I would say it's abit smaller than the one at Brooklyn Botanical if you're comparing festivities... but it's also less crowded!

Cool! I've never been for the Cherry Blossom Festival, but Branch Brook Park is beautiful and a great place to spend an afternoon walking around. It seems to be relatively unknown to folks outside Newark/Belleville.

Every single year while I was a kid growing up in Bloomfield. Definitely worth it if you have never gone before. Really beautiful.

There are poster advertisement for it at the train stations--I see them from the train and they made me want to go see it this year.
