Pardon me if this has been previously discussed but it strikes me as the kind of thing that could be answered fairly quickly. Is it cheaper to buy weekly passes or monthly passes, in the long run?
For example, between Millburn and Penn:
Weekly = $56.50
Monthly = $233.00
Over the course of a 52-week year:
$56.50 x 52 = $2938.00
$233.00 x 12 = $2796.00
Am I missing something? Shouldn't the monthly pass be cheaper? Or is this a quirk of the NJTransit ticket pricing?
for $142, i'd go for the weekly's, the holidays + vacations + any other day you might not get into the city, such as being snowed out, will put your saving well over $142

For the month that there you take vacations thats when its best to buy the weekly especially if you will be out for a week...holidays still fall on the weekly pass wont save there
