"Dear Lord … this year you have taken away my favorite actor, Patrick Swayze, my favorite actress, Farrah Fawcett, my favorite singer, Michael Jackson, and my favorite salesman, Billy Mays. … I just wanted to let you know that Chris Christie is my favorite governor."
Raising this or cutting that is not the issue here. The point is silly ramblings like this done by the union do nothing but hurt the situation. Even if they feel Christie has acted like a bully, wishing death on someone is just dumb. Everyone has a right to say stupid things but it does not help your argument regardless if it was meant to be public or not.
The guy who wrote the memo is at best a moron and at worst a sorry suggestion for a human. He should be fired. That being said he does NOT represent most teachers since he only works in the Bergen Co branch of the teachers association and is not part of the leadership of the NJEA.
Haven't you ever had someone you work with say something totally inappropriate? Does that mean the inappropriate person represents ALL of you?

No, but my coworkers don't make commercial after commercial trying to scare the residents of New Jersey into thinking that all their kids will end up on the street selling crack and robbing the elderly if Christie has his way.
Bullying, plain and simple.
