Default NJ Transit Fare Raises Approved

New Jersey Transit

Seems we gonna be paying more and getting less. Now I'm just waiting for MTA to drop their bomb too.

Wonder why hold public meetings when they already know what they going to do.

Dang shame.

$109 - $136 for a monthly pass..

It said Although one-way commuter rail tickets will increase 25 percent, deep monthly discounts will be maintained.

I take the rail and use a monthly pass. They did not increase the monthly rate, but they are changing my station from Zone 4 to Zone 6 so fares WILL increase.

Who said i'm paying that , i'll just have to quit my new job This is Christies fault , i predict he will be recalled this November , people are starting to see he can't run the state properly. Honestly you can't cut this much ,without thinking of the long & short time affects. This will hurt the Urban and Middle Class , i predict there will small riots geared towards the the upper Class.

Where is this quote from? Straight from NJ Trans website it says my monthly will go up from 340 to 425. Exactly 25% and not one penny less.

And I love how they list all the other measures they too first such as cut in exec pay. They neglect to say it was only 5%.

I checked the new price for where my brother lives and his goes from 208 to 272.50 (25%). And of course, they round it 273. Crooks.

It seems to be upper Management , Most Employees took pay cuts over the years. While Management saw there paychecks increase , and Christie did nothing about that , he just put the strain on users. Blamed us for the problems.

I don't blame Christie..this is all NJT mismanagement and corruption. They also happen to be completely incompetent with getting people to their destination on time. If there's anything I blame the gov for it's not pressuring these people to take cuts before pushing it onto the consumer. I am hoping people show their disapproval by carpooling or taking the bus.

I somewhat agree , but Christie should have cleaned that out , this is not fair to place it on the riders....Hes all about cutting and cleaning out corruption , yet he seems to be picking and choosing which agencies to clean out and which ones to place the blame on the users......
