the trains run through middletown and hazlet and matawan, there is a bus line to nyc on 36. You should add Old bridge to your list, marlboro and parts of middletown are out of your price range

Out of those bunch if I have a lot of money to spend I would choose Old Bridge. Whatever you do, definitely do not move to Hazlet, Union Beach or North Middletown. They are very trashy towns! Keansburg is a lot better then Union Beach, Hazlet and North Middletown. If you get a chance look at all of them then look at Keansburg and you will see the great value and quality you can get in a safe town with low taxes!

I would look in the Strathmore section of Aberdeen. Its very close to the train and parkway and can get a nice house btwn 340-400...its the best buy around and the schools are great, the only downfall is the houses dont have basements.

**M/D homes would be great too.

Here are some listings in Marlboro at your price range. I went a little higher since nothing sells at list these days. Eliminate the Greenbriar ones because I know that is senior housing. You might also want to Consider Manalapan, which is Marlboro's sister town.

Both Towns are part of the Freehold Regional School District , which is excellent

As a former NJ resident and one half of a "young couple" myself, I have to ask... exactly what possesses you to want a house that is that expensive? Do you realize that the monthly mortgage payment alone on a house that expensive is likely to exceed $3,000?
