pretty much the same menu as this place (used to be under the same owner), but I found the quality to be better at Mariners Cove http://youramys.com/Home.html (broken link)
That sounds so incredibly amazing...diner food is love! Where do I begin?
At the beginning of course! Start in Cape May and work your way north, hopefully you'll finnish before the end of the earth.
I'd say start at the Vincentown Diner, I've heard goo things. Then pick a main road, go straight and eventually you'll hit a diner (and probably a few Wawa's, they have the BEST Ice Tea and Coffee IMO)
I'm sure it's been done a million times, but I was wondering if any of you could tell me about NJ's food scene?
One of your posters came over to the Kansas forum and gave us a lot of good info and pics on Jersey so it piqued my curiosity!
My fiance and I are probably going to visit within the next year as he has family in Jackson, New Jersey. I was born and raised in the midwest (Kansas City) and moved to Orlando but never been up the east coast, so I appreciate any advice on restaurants and stuff to check out when we're in town.
As you can tell, we're major foodies and love history, art (even though I don't know a lot about it), bookstores, walking and biking trails, etc.
Thank you!
Katey
I strongly recommend you checking out the foodie site Chowhound. They have a very large and busy board just for Jersey. You'll find very extensive reviews on local restaurants, many also post asking for suggestions. It is a great resource!
I noticed your location is in Casselberry. I used to live in Oxford Square apartments when I attended UCF! How is it down there lately?
Also, regarding NJ food, in Trenton we have some of the old Chambersburg restaurants, but that area is becoming pretty rough now. There are some of the old Italian restaurants that have moved out to Hamilton. Check them out if you get a chance!
