Hi neighbor!

We are moving from Old Bridge and have lot C31 on Lamp Post Dr-the large corner lot. We are doing the Elevation C on the Halifax, we are first time home buyer so you can not go wrong with the price. We did some basic upgrades, 9"ceilings, extra bathroom in the master, extension of the great room and kitchen and that is about it.
Are you financing through NVR? They have been great so far.

Good Luck with everything and keep in touch!

Hi
We have not worked too much with the mortgage co. yet, they have been good? I hate mortgage co. HAHA
We are just getting out of Attorney Review so i assume we will be hearing from them soon. Have you gone to the flooring store yet?
Sounds like you picked great things for your home, it is very exciting.
My family is actually from Old Bridge, I moved when I was like 10 though. We used to live on Cotrell(spelling) Rd and in Central Park.
Please keep in touch, it is nice to talk with someone in the same boat!
Shan

Hey Shan,

So far, NVR has been very assuring and accomodating to our needs. We are meeting with them next week to go over the different programs that are available to us. Guess I will show them my millions of dollars I have in the bank next week

No trip to the flooring store yet. I think our next meeting (after meeting with NVR) will be with Guardian to go over all the wiring, etc in the house. So tempting to have the house fully hooked up to all kind of neat gadets, but that stuff costs money. I like our selections so far. I doubt we will change anything (although that luxury bathroom keeps calling my name)

-Rob

It depends on your budget. The model homes are gorgeous, but they are generally fully optioned out so, therefore you will be getting what you pay for. You may just want to pick your own home and then choose some options at your own pace. The options can add up very fast! It's all up to you though. I believe Ryan is offering the finished basement only if you finance through the their own mortgage co. The finished basement is really nice to have though. Even in our home, which will be one the smaller models, the finished basement adds a lot to the house. We saw a finished basement on our model home in a Ryan development down in Vineland--very nice.

it depends on the upgrade. structural upgrades, HVAC, electric and the like you are usually better off doing while the house is being built as it's cheaper to do then rather than after (however it really depends on the builder, this was true in my case). getting a deck is typically a major ripoff. carpeting and other flooring will depend on the square foot price -vs- the quality. you need to do your homework.

hi everyone! my husband and I are on the verge of possibly moving forward with Ryan Homes. We have thouroughly researched the company but are still very cautious. we did visit other builders in the area, but we're most impressed with both of the men representatives with NVR. im very skeptical and we are looking for any feedback any of you have experienced to this point. Our main concern is service. We have built before and we know there is no such thing as the perfect home, but there is something to be said for the builder who will be there throughout the process!!! if you can't tell by now we have had horrible experiences!! any feedback?

Hi
I cant say too much as I am early on in the process, but so far things are pretty good. I stop in often and always have questions, they are always there to answer, they always call back and respond to my emails. Good luck.
What development are you thinking?
Shan
