shan,
We are possibly thinking about Bay Ridge or High Pointe. We are going to make a final decision in the next few days. We are planning to spend time driving the area, and researching schools. We feel vey comftorable with Jonathon. My husband is always asking questions about the products/systems ryan homes uses to build there homes and he has impressed us with his knowledge. On our first visit in May we had a lot of thinking to do, at this point everything finally feels right.

Hi
we looked into the Khov, they were more money at the time. But we didnt look too far into them. They are both right near each other and the homes look nice. Ryan was offering the better incentives at the time. Not sure how it is now though.
Are you looking into both?

Is Independence Park located off Bay Ave? I saw some Ryan homes being developed by St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church but that property lot looks very small.
As for the company, Ryan Homes has a LOT of complaints! See link below.
ryan homes complaints - Google Search
As for the town of Barnegat, it is absolutely lovely. I feel the downtown area can be improved, as some of those antique stores don't do the town much justice (rarely open, not good stuff) but it is quaint and distance to the beach is not far.
Good luck with your decision.

Very true about the complaints. These large home builders are highly regionalized. One person may have nightmare with a builder in Virginia but, that doesn't mean folks building with the same company in NJ will have the same problems. Make sure you are on good terms with your project manager during the construction process and things will turn out ok.
I really don't have any "tips" CKNG. So far, the process has been smooth for us. If all goes as planned, they should start construction on our home in about 3 weeks. That's when things get interesting

ROBGAIN
Wow they are already going to start construction, when are you due to close?
We just sent in our application and have meet w/the flooring and guardian.
How did you guys do in the flooring selections? That was fun, well I used to sell flooring so I guess that is why I like it.
Where are you guys in the mortgage process?
I guess things are going okay for us, but we have to sell our current home and we are having a tough time w/that.
Best of luck to you.
