Default Surf fishing?

speaking of jersey, what spots should i look into hitting that are a quicker run from the lehigh valley (straight out route 78) area as i would like to take the family and head down maybe over the summer sometime. with surf fishing the wife and kid could come and have a blast at the beach or just playing around while i get in some fishing amongst the various messing around.
thanks in advance
chris

Default Sandy Hook

No question if you're coming in I78 it's gotta be Sandy Hook. (78 to 287 south to GSP south, off at 115 and take RT 36 to Park) Only problem is that it fills up quickly during the summer months. Sometimes in a scorcher it's filled by 9:30 or 10:00 AM.

It doesn't fill up every day, maybe someone could chime in on when it does. If I remember correctly if you are going to fish only then you can go around the "swimming/beach line. Ride down later in a day and chech at the ranger station which is dead center on the road about a mile into the park.
