Do you really need to use an attorney who lives in your town or even county?

Just curious 'cus I understand alot of people on this board mention attorney fees cost them $600-1000. The attorney I was recommended in my town, and most of them for that matter, charge $1100-1500. I'll like to see if there's a way to save on attorney fee w/o sacrificing on service.

Would you PM me if you can recommend your affordable but good attorney?

Thanks!

Default Check you Company Benefits

If you work for a large company, you may find out (as i did) if your Co offers Legal Plan coverage. For $8.75 per month (pre-tax) I was able to get an attorney to cover my attorney fees on the sale of my old house and the purchase of my new house if you pick someone from the list (in network). The prices you quoted are about right. I think it would have been $1200 for each if I didn't belong to "Hyatt Legal Plans".

You don't have to use an Attorney in your town, but my experience is; it's better to have YOUR attorney close as you will (inevitabley) have to run some docs over or a check over and definitely you will have to go there (or to the opposite sides attorney's place) when you close.
