Yes HGTV has spoiled today's home buyers especially those under 40.
Try finding a somewhat decent home for under $225,000 in any kind of decent area....

You guys really are crazy... The folks you see on HGTV are in no way representitive of the population at large....

Nice house, and definitely fits the description of "starter home" from when I was looking at starter homes in the mid 90's. For today's buyer who want's everything though, it's short a bathroom and a bedroom, doesn't have central AC, has far too little closet space, and needs granite counters, stainless steel commercial appliances, and a home theater that'll seat 12.

How dare you show something like this?? lol

I went to realtor.com. Right under the box where you plug in zip code, price, etc., there's a place to click "Search by MLS#"- click that and put in the number T listed.

I know, shame on me. LOL Its downfall is that it's on a busy road, so in addition to not having stainless, central air, granite and a home theatre, it's not at the end of a cul de sac on 2 acres, LOL.

Really though, this home has some serious charm IMHO.

yes it is - i'm actually surprised how inexpensive it is. needs some work but that's really the definition of starter IMHO. my first home looked almost the same (split) - minus the electric green cabinets, LOL.
