The NY POST of this past Tuesday had three full pages about the Superbowl. [I do not have a hyperlink for it.] Thousands of people gathered in TIMES SQUARE to celebrate the acquisition, and one of the AVENUES in Manhattan is now called, "Superbowl 2014". Mostly everything I have written here, I read in those three pages. If they are not NY teams, why is it that most people call them the NY Giants, and the NY Jets?
So, NY/NJ got the Superbowl, not just NJ.....................

People call the teams 'NY' b/c that's what the owners named them.
People can gather anywhere they please to celebrate the Superbowl. That doesn't make it anymore in NY than NJ. The team represents the metro NY, not NYC proper (they kind of have to)
And yes, NJ got the Superbowl, NY got the festivities...so yeah...NY/NJ got the SB.
