Diane Signs are going up around my parents neighborhood in Portales. There's a big Diane sign across from the Methodist church, and a large martinez sign near the courthouse. Signs on the east end of the state seem pretty 1:1 so far. Around where I' at in ABQ, most all Diane signs, as a virtue of living at UNM. So, aries and I must be neighbors to some extent Walking about Santa Fe, not a single Martinez sign was spotted... Although, I figure that's to be expected. I am getting a bumper sticker, which is something I just don't do. So, I guess I've become an "impassioned voter."

In Santa fe, today alone I counted 32 Martinez signs in neighborhoods. I was distributing some as well. Made trips to 27 houses near the plaza.

Northern New Mexico is 50/50

I really get the feeling that this election is going to just about 50:50. It's going to be a few votes one way or another that'll win it, which is quite strange for our fair state. It's turning into quite an entertaining election.

Yes, but I think Susana will win by a few thousand. Obviously not no landslide for either.

I remember driving through eastern NM a couple years back and I saw lots of McCain signs, I would say it was about 8-2 on the McCain to Obama signs, but then again, signs dont vote.

If Martinez should happen to prevail, I will be very surprised. I don't want to see Denish elected, but I don't see the backlash or fervor against Democrats in this state that seems to be happening nationally. I think the difference is Bernalillo County. It seems that 10 years ago, it was a 50/50 county, but my feeling now is that it has gone way over to the left. People in the ABQ area are obviously better qualified to speak to this than I can, but it's just my observation from 220 miles away.

It does seem to be turning into an entertaining election. In fact the entire election (nationally) is about as exciting as I have ever seen a mid term election. As for NM, I have to say I think Martinez will win with votes to spare. I am not talking landslide, but I think it will be a little more one sided than you think. we will know 6 weeks from now.

you are talking eastern NM, not Sante Fe, Albuquerque and Las Cruces where the population is. That is a very different story..

Didn't see any T-shirts that weren't 4-5 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Got a link bradly? (Or maybe your "they rock" threshold is really low).
