I hadn't heard Tish Hinojosa in a long time (have one of her CDs from the late 1980s)...glad she's still touring.
I'll always be a Bob Wills fan--and their last album, For the Last Time, was cut shortly before he died in the 1970s. It was great to hear that older stuff done with modern equipment!
Asleep at the Wheel is another favorite, one of the few Austin bands that is keeping Western Swing alive, along with George Strait.

A local/regional favorite from Las Cruces: NOSOTROS The video has some nice shots of the area as well. I've seen them a few times at El Patio in Mesilla, just a short walk from Casa Tecpatl
