HW, I thought you had moved to the PNW? No?

But...I do understand the "entrapment" part.

You might try calling newspapers and TV stations. They seem to like the individual-getting-run-around-from-the-bureaucracy stories. Politicians might respond then. Even Bill -- who loves to drive into town and play the hero for the media.

We will miss you. Good luck in the NW.

Hunter, I am really surprised. I thought you loved New Mexico, and didn't know you were considering a move elsewhere. You will be missed a lot. I always thought from your posts that you were a great asset to the state for your great attitude and interesting way of looking at things.

Well, I really hope it all works out, HW!

Although my situation is different, I DO understand some of your frustration. Trying to get something done by whomever can just be VERY aggravating at times. The apathy and/or incompetence sometimes shown can really get to you.

Enjoy Oregon. The parts I have seen are just beautiful country.

Hence you should probably learn how to do it yourself. Cheaper, better and you know exactly what was involved (and you only have yourself to blame)

Why do you hope? What ever happened to being self-sufficient and understanding how things work and how they are done?

So I'm supposed to do my own electrical work, huh? They added a necessary plug in my garage and had to run conduit through the attic...and alter the junction box. Yeah...right.

There is nothing wrong with being self-sufficient and understanding how things work.

Suggesting that someone do all of their own work (electrical, major plumbing, HVAC, etc.) is just inane.
