Like 'em fine. The Westside is very convenient if you have a car and don't mind driving a few minutes,
I'm finding it more convenient than Northeast, and it's not too bad to get to the Southeast if you can
go outside of high traffic hours.

Our neighborhood is very, very quiet and we like that a lot.

Thanks. We've seen them far more red than this, it was just a combination of the Sandias and the moon
above them that made me want to post this photo.

I lived in ABQ for one year .... it was almost 40 years ago .... and I still can remember those red Sandias every night just as if I saw them last night.

Wonderful memory.

Your picture brought it back.

Hmmm, the first time I was here was from January 1970 through July 1972 at which time my
Canadian then-pregnant, then-wife decided that we *HAD* to move to Canada before the kid was born.

I'd never been back at all until we moved here from Panama. Just *KNEW* it would work out and went for it.

YIKES! Maybe we passed on the street!

I was here from January to December 1970.

Hubby was stationed at Kirtland AFB and we lived in the southeast section of town on Chama St. which was mostly all military and I felt completely safe out walking my baby on those streets in his stroller -- now it is part of the ABQ "war zone."

I had my first Lotaburgers at the place on Louisiana and Gibson. Someone on another thread said that is the MOST unsafe Blake's in the city now.

OOOPS Sorry for hijacking the photo thread....your picture just brought back a lot of memories.

Got to be honest with you... that area is really very elderly... not dangerous. lol I would say the Lota directly on Central is more dangerous.

The one on Gibson does have these ridiculous prison bars though.

Default Trip over & through New Mexico

Flew over New Mexico last week, and then drove through this last weekend on my way back to AZ. I forgot how beautiful the state is, even though I live next door & visit family in Gallup often. Even got me thinking of moving to ABQ area now cause Flag is too darn expensive. Anyway enjoy the pics, love the thread, keep it going!

Shiprock from ~25,000 feet

Looking north from Santa Rosa motel

Approaching snowstorm outside of Santa Rosa

Creeping down the Tijeras Canyon

Down into the Rio Puerco, I love how expansive the vistas are in New Mexico

And finally, a hill with a face near Acoma
