I goofed!!!

The restaurant is Tequila's....

I was thinking Margarita's, probably because the person I was with had a margarita with her dinner, LOL!!!

I made an offer, it was accepted....but there is some problem with the early closing date, so we're working on that.

The sellers are having a house built, but it may not be ready in time for closing, so they wanted to rent back about a month after the stated closing date.

That's never a good idea, so I suggested an August close for me to move around the first of September. I do NOT want to move during the peak season, and June 15 would be in the middle of it!!!

We'll see. As far as I'm concerned, they can accept the current closing date, or move it out beyond June/July/August.

If Farmington does not pan out, I am considering Alamogordo. I spent a night there, and poked around a bit....and I really liked it!!!

I left Alamogordo, and am now outside of Austin.

I'll be going home Tues or so.

I made the same mistake! It is Tequilas - on Broadway. I thought it was Tequilas when you mentioned it but to me Margaritas, Tequilas, Coronas and any alcohol drink and I dont know what is what, especially after I drink them!

I agree, I think you are doing the right thing. Hopefully it will work out. I am glad you found a house. Austin, never been there but my folks live in San Antonio, so if the traffic is anything like that, I feel for you. I love SA but not the heat and it is hot for so long, just not for me. Lots to do though.

Thanks, Luv, I hope it works out, but if not, something else will.

The traffic is bad, but not as bad as SA. The growth out here (I'm south of Austin, between it and San Marcos) is tremendous; wall-to-wall people.

Austin is no longer a well-kept secret.

The weather right now is sunny, relatively dry and cool, much cooler than normal for this time of year.

I think they have a Taco Bell.

Honestly, I don't care for what New Mexicans call "Mexican Food" at all, since I grew up with Tex-Mex in Oklahoma and never heard of a green chili until I moved here.

However, there's a place there, can't remember the actual name, called (Something) Irish Cantina. It's a mexican restaurant, and the name cracks me up. Irish Cantina, indeed!
