The only "UFO" I've seen was in NV (near Reno) one night. I was driving out to my campsite when I noticed something that looked really strange on the horizon and coming toward me. I shut off the engine and jumped out to get a better look and listen. They were 5 sort of triangular objects in a V formation that were either very large or close to the ground. The only thing I could see was what looked like sparks coming off the leading edges and trailing behind. They were moving very fast and made no sound that I could detect.

I thought they could have been some sort of advanced planes, but it appeared that they flew straight over Reno, which surely the military would not have done.

In 1978 or 1979 I was enjoying the night sky and saw a large silent ball of light shoot straight up from the ground at a very fast speed. I figured that white sands missile range was conducting some sort of tests on something. I just thought the speed and soundlessness of it all was strange. You watch the shuttles take off and they just don't seem to move that fast to me. We lived at airport mobile home park in Alamogordo at the time.
