Default Beer sales in Farmington/Bloomfield

I am going on a fishing trip next month to the San Juan River in the Farmington/Bloomfield area and my friend is a serious import and craft beer drinker who enjoys drinking while fishing and relaxing after a long, hard day on the river. Is this a "dry" county and if not, are there liquor and grocery stores in the area that sell craft and high quality imported beer?

no, it's not a dry county. i've been out of the area too long to be able to give you a good lead on anything really esoteric beer-wise, but i doubt you will have difficulty finding something he wouldn't gag on.

Farmington has a pretty good brewpub called Three Rivers. I'm sure if you buy a pint or two, they can tell you where to stock up on decent beer for your trip.

Do they have take away growlers ? Most of the brewpubs I have been in will sell you a growler of beer to take out.

Good question, I'm not sure. I suppose one could call them and ask. (505) 342-2187

Yes, they have take away growlers. I don't drink, so I can't vouch for the beer...but the food is good there, and I have seen a chilled case of take away growlers by the front door.
