Best places in NM are the small towns in northern NM, if you are from there (meaning your grandparents were born there). For me, Northern Rio Arriba is best, next to Chama.

I have no idea what a "Hispanic-American perspective" is. What are you trying to get at? Do you mean "hispanic-american" friendly? I am what you call "Hispanic-American" and have no idea what you want.

OP have you visited New Mexico? If you haven't I suggest you do, if you have your question is even stranger.

Thank you mikexom, for your kind response. The trolls can move along. I will add that to my collection. I will await other intelligent responses as yours.

Geez what's with the animosity and unfocused anger??? OK I will give a friends view who is from Roswell: ABQ is basically the big city in NM, many people go there for work and opportunities. Crime can be kind of high considering the cities and towns across the state are relatively small. Las Cruces has a lot of retirees....Farmington is cold up near Colorado and my friend didn't like it...can't recall why. Santa is more upscale.

Is there anything specific you are looking for? In general NM has a lot of opportunities for Hispanic Americans and many are not even fluent in Spanish...so other hispanic americans may very well feel "at home" in most parts of the state. This is all second hand information I was given...since I had never been to NM and wondered about it. Thought it was interesting, hope it helps you out.
