I understand maybe your just truthful and posting your view, and thats great and i thank you for that.
But there has to be something you liked about Farmington?
anyways, i will be up there in April looking around for myself.

You are not looking at the truth. To say you dont like one city because of gangs and yet you live in a city full of gangs is puzzling.

Well, I just heard that the guy arrested for the 15 year old girl who was murdered, it was an accident. There was a party with drinking and pot and the guy accidentally shot her and fled. He faces 3 years for involuntary manslaughter. You can read about it at http://www.daily-times.com/news/ci_5501208. It was like I thought. Be sure and get the FULL facts before writing Farmington off.
Well..."was a party with drinking and pot" "the guy accidentally shot" the 15 year old girl..."

A fifteen year old girl (underage for drinking)) killed accidentally in a party with drinking (alcohol), pot (marijuana) and loaded guns...not an example of bad crime. hummm!

well, teenagers carrying guns, first of all,why are they carrying guns? This is not the only example, but I will list some that have happened when I lived there, not to mention my mom got her windows shot out at the mall a few weeks ago but anyways a guy killed his mom then cut her up into pieces in the bath tub,a guy killed a young mother stabbed her numerous time and shot her with a bow and arrow,on the rez outside Farmington 3 people were murdered when they were led onto a dirt road then were ambushed by 3 guys and all shot in the head numerous times.A 16 year old girl was murdered,A gang member was killed in a drive by.A guy was jogging in a park when a group of guys beat him because he was wearing the wrong color. You have to live there to understand, and its not the gangs im worried about, gangs are everywhere in New Mexico, where Im from in Clovis we had 10 murders in 1 year and a population of 32,000 and I feel completely safe there.Oh and also Bloomfield the town of 7,000 also has metal detectors in their high school, now Im sure there is a reason for this.

Unfortunately with the kids today, it is a national thing. They are doing things they are not supposed to do and that includes everywhere. I put part blame on the parents, where are they to let their daughter be out at 4:30 am? But this type of partying goes on everywhere. Sad but true. When I lived in Albuquerque I routinely had to deal with neighborhood partying kids with drinking and drugs. Hearing gun shots. My speed dial was 911 and used it often enough. I havent said Farmington doesnt have crime but councilor j doesnt seem to think Albuquerque does have crime or wont acknowledge it and is seriously wrong. Crime is an epidemic in New Mexico where ever you live here.

It seems ok Kali. It is over there off of Broadway. Seems clean enough for a cheap motel.

Just a reminder that guests at hotels or motels are at their own risk, the hotel is not responsible for the safety of its guests. I found that out when I tried to sue the hotel in Birmingham, Alabama where I was the victim of an assault. The latest crime index by the FBI places New Mexico as #2 in the Country, only Nevada #1 has more violent crimes than New Mexico.
