Look at the posters ip location in Arkansas... they do not even live here but yet want to make stupid statements

Another realtor, what the heck are you talking about? Yes, we live in AR but we lived in Valencia County until 5 monts ago, we watched Los Lunas grow. Cheaply built homes, I would agree with you, most newer developments are pretty cheaply build by the standards used 50 or more years ago, but if the area is as bad as you say, why are the homes selling?
El Cerro Mission is the worst place I have seen in my life and even putting it i the same catagory as Rio Communities is showing your lack of knowledge...thinking I might be a realtor and yet seeing I live in AR also shows how little you know.
If I insulted you, I am sorry, I certainly didn't mean to lump everyone together, but I was generalizing. We have friends from one of the community organizations we were involved in, who live in Meadow Lakes, one of your county commissioners unitl this year (she has now been defeated) lives in Meadow Lakes. Of course not everyone living east of 47 lives in dumps or are criminals. I would still recommend anyone, who is looking for a family type living situation and a slightly upscale enviorment to stay close to 25, either side. Please don't try and convince people the crime is higher on the west side...Would you like to explain where you got this piece of information.

Definitely not interested in a new, slapped together, over-priced house. I appreciate the feedback, but will just have to make a few trips to see for myself if it could possibly work for me and mine.
Thanks!

Not all the nice homes are slapped together, but let's face it, newer construcion isn't the same as older.. As for overpriced, that depends on what you consider overpriced and where you are coming from plus what you are looking for? There are some wonderful homes, new and newer with acreage, all around Los Lunas, some with great views of the valley..There are similar homes in B Farms and Peralta as well.
You are right, you need to come and see if Los Lunas is what you want in a city..

Chill out as nmnita didn't mean any offense to you. Disagree yes ....but don't come on here and personally attack her or anyone else like you are as that's against City Data TOS that you agreed to when you joined here and you can be banned from these forums if you are reported to one of the New Mexico moderator's.

More or less, how far are Bosque Farms and Peralta from Los Lunas?

Hi Sunny,
The best I can do for you here is from my Benchmark map book for the state of NM; they are all right off of Interstate 25
{which follows the Rio Grande river}. Los Lunas is the most south of the 3, then Peralta more north, then Bosque Farms the most north. Appears each to be, from the miles legend- about 10 miles apart. Maybe 15 from Los Lunas to Peralta.
There are several State highways there that run parallel to I-25, 314 and 47.
Los Lunas is on H-314 and Peralta and Bosque Farms are off H-47.
All very close distance to each other, along the Rio Grande
Hope that helps,
Tia Dalma

Thanks, that helps give me a better idea. I plan to make a few trips through there in December. Jobsite will be in the vicinity of Los Lunas, but a 15 mile drive to work doesn't sound too bad if the homesite is comfy enough.
Thanks for your input!
