And if Mayfield lost would they go to the 3rd or fourth position?

I can't see them dropping further then to #3. Wouldn't surprise me to see them stay at #2. Only Losses to the best of NM and the best of El Paso. It all depends on how much they lose by...if the lose.

Thats right if Mayfield loses next friday then their only losses are to the best team in New Mexico (Las Cruces high) and the best team in far West Texas El Paso Montwood who's only loss was to Texas powerhouse Lubbock Coronado High.

Then again can Cibola beat Rio Rancho this friday as that should be a great game also.....

Default What do you think?

If Mayfield and LC do in fact get the top 2 Seeds and Cibola beats Rio Rancho for district who do you think should get the #3 seed Cibola or Clovis. Clovis did beat Cibola 13-12 but Cibola has a better record 8-1. Clovis did have a harder schedule but Cibola's Margins of Victory are all pretty much blowouts exept for the La cueva game which Cibola won 24-21 and the Clovis game that they lost by 1. Clovis on the other hand had a win against Cibola who was previosly undefeated and a HUGE win over Artesia which was ESPNU telivised and they are district champs after beating Hobbs. I think it will be an extremely hard decision to make. With Manzanos lost to Eldorado I pretty sure Cibola and clovis will be in the top four regardless which number. What do you think???

On another note if Alamogordo beats Anthony Gadsen tonight then we have a shot at one of the 2 at large slots in the playoffs next week. The first and second place teams in the 5 districts get in automatically then the NMAA Commitee selects 2 of the best teams not to make it so a total of 12 teams make the playoffs.

I'm not saying Alamo isn't one of the top 12 in 5A, but I don't see the selection committee picking two at-large from 3-5A.
